Children spend a good deal of time — by playing games and using their imagination — in an altered state of consciousness. So hypnotizing them and quieting down the "thinking" mind, is relatively easy... and fun!

When working with children, there are many more hypnotic sessions available than there are for adults. Just like adults, children can benefit from hypnotherapy for weight loss, nervous habits, stuttering, fears, procrastination, self-confidence, poor sleep habits and more. Children also have their own issues that hypnosis can be helpful with, such as:

  • ADD
  • shyness
  • self-esteem
  • bed wetting
  • conduct at school
  • disrespect
  • getting along with others
  • loudness,
  • and more.

Hypnosis is a mode of therapy that will allow children to do what they have been striving to do on their own. Your child will never accept suggestions that (s)he did not want to respond to.

Hypnotherapy sessions with children are fun and lighthearted, and change is comes quickly. During hypnosis, your child will feel something very similar to how (s)he feels just prior to falling asleep: quiet, still and heavy, but able to hear all the sounds around him/her. In this way, hypnosis is like a state of meditation.

It is not possible for anyone to ever remain in a hypnotic state. For example, if I left the office while your child was hypnotized and came out to speak to you, your child would merely fall asleep. The only time people ever stay hypnotized is in the movies.
