Hypnosis is defined as an altered state of awareness characterized by relaxation and a higher response to suggestion. A guided relaxation begins each session, so that conscious thought is quieted and memories, feelings, and visions of the unconscious mind can surface. A Clinical Hypnotherapy helps you create change in habits, behavior patterns, and emotional responses. The conscious mind analyzes and uses logic and objectivity. It understands and makes choices based on experience. The subconscious mind, however holds our feelings, emotions, memories and imagination. It chooses responses based on subjective experience. Hypnotherapy with Randi Botnick includes both direct suggestions and regression. Direct suggestions allow your subconscious mind to develop new ideas and habits. This part of the process is taped onto an audiotape for you to listen to every day. Regression allows you to return to the initial events in your life that created the beliefs that cause stress or destructive behaviors, and release them. Most people are suggestible (able to be hypnotized). To be suggestible, you need to trust the therapist, be motivated to make the changes in your life, tounderstand how the process works, and to have a belief that hypnosis works. However, if you are not suggestible for any reason, the Results System® is the perfect alternative. Other uses for Hypnotherapy include:
